Mamma Mia!!!

I use this title "Mamma Mia" as both an explination, and an explicitive (swear word!).

This post could also be called:
1. Only have One kid
2. Go to Bed early
3. Mistakes
4. CRAP
5. Good thing I am not an abusive mother
6. Nothing is truely MINE
etc etc etc

So, Last night I went with some great friends to see Mamma Mia, the musical at Mandalay Bay. It was fantastic! So much fun! Then after the show we got dessert in the casino, watched Michael Phelps take his 6th gold, and laughed. I got to bed around 12:30. This was my first mistake. I was tired before I even woke up, oh well, the life of a mother.
Keep in mind that lately I can not get Brady to nap, if I do it is at the end of a long hour of taking him to his bed over and over again, so at the end of the hour he is either asleep, or I give up and we rest together, reading or something else.
So the mix of a tired mom and a not tired boy hit the fan today.
At 1:00 I decided we would lay on the couch, rest, and then be happy....
First Mistake.
Then Bean says, 'i need to go pee', 'hurry' i say, 'then come right back'.
Second mistake.
Suddenly the phone rings, its Jeff. I look at the clock and a half an hour has passed. I fell asleep!
Third Mistake.
I tell Jeff I'll call him back and go looking for the silent boy.
What I find almost brings me to tears. I could not even take a picture of it for this post....I did however draw a picture of it....(I hear letters and art are a release for stress). Which I will post soon.
Yes, Bean went potty....on the floor, numbers one and TWO. He then tried to clean it up, bless his heart, with a few towels, yuck! As he explored he found my make up (base) which he then used to color on the tile floor, cabinets, inside one drawer and in the sink. Also in his hair, on his shirt and all over his hands, face, and feet. While in the drawer he found Jeff's travel size hair jel and procedes to pour it out in the drawer also. What a lovely smell greeted me when I opened the bathroom door!
There is no reaction for something like this, I stood there, dumbfounded. Filled the tub, put him in it and cleaned the bathroom. I was so shocked that I could not react. I still have not reacted. I drew a picture, told Bean he owed me an apology, and turned the TV on. As he drew me a Sorry note he said out loud,
"sorry I made a poop"
"sorry I made a make-up"
"sorry I made a pee"
"Sooorrrryyyy".
End Of Story.
Lucky Me.

You may be asking, Where was Zach this whole time????
ASLEEP, in the middle of a fantasic 2 1/2 hour nap. Angel.

Oh my gosh! What a disaster! No wonder you didn't answer when I called you this afternoon. I was passing by your neighborhood and thought of you, but when you didn't answer I just decided I better go home and get my 2 year old to take a nap (which he wouldn't either). I swear though, everything I try to do something fun for myself, I get paybacks the next day. Bunko nights, Girls' nights, you name it, the next day it's like Nathan is punishing me for trying to have fun! I'm glad Zack is such a sweet angel for you! You should have taken a picture!

HI! Okay that really is terrible, but also a bit funny. At least he tried to clean it up! Some might just roll around in it.

Hey friend, I am glad you got to have a ladies night though. How great... by the way, teaching is not the same without you!

That is the funniest story ever, gross but funny -- from an outsider's standpoint, of course. :) Mama Mia was such a great show and so fun to just have GIRL talk! We need to plan something again soon!

I'm so glad that you documented this story and especially his apology to you when you saw him! That really his priceless. I love those moments as a mom you remain calm because you would LOVE for freak out, but we know we can't. You handled it well. See, at least you have a great story to tell!

Oh my goodness! What a day for you. I always know something is up if my girls have been quite for even a second. At least you kept your cool that is a good mommy for you.

I know this was not funny to you at the time, but reading about it and picturing it make me laugh. However, if it had happened to me I would probably have flipped out at the mess.
