Some Kid Quotes

In the car yesterday: "mom, why doesn't dad ever shave his face?" in case you haven't seen Jeff lately he is growing a mustache....some work dare.... Thanks a lot to Teresa who said, 'I think it's handome', she can have him!

While I got Zach into his 'piyamas' tonight I asked him, 'does she?', Apparently he's never heard these two words together, or thought his mom was a funny person. He immediatly repeated, 'does she, does she...' and laughed out loud, it was so dang cute! Say it 5 times fast, it is kinda funny.

Brady has decided that, "when I get big I wanna work like Daddy does, his same job", good son, I say, go to college. We teach it young at our house!

Zach says his own prayers. "henny fader, a do daaayy, a do uncle janie (Jamie), a do dada" He'll also say what we ask him, but thats what he gets out with out help! Followed up by a very triumphant AMEN! (uncle Jamie is in Afghanastan, he's only been there a few weeks, THANKS UNCLE JANIE!)

Two Boys

My boys have decided that they love to play together, wrestle, hit, chase, whatever they can get away with before I yell, "STOP IT!" Here they are EATING YOGURT in my bed while I get ready...I admit I told them to.... only to get some peace! But in my defence, look how happy they are!

Zach woke up from his nap, put on the hat and backpack all by himself, (not the best photo!) them wore them all afternoon. He is talking like a mad man, this morning Brady asked, 'where's Dad?', Zach's reply: 'He gone working, already'.

We are pleased to introduce to you the newest addition to our family, Baby Cake. He feeds her, takes her to bed, carries her around, and gets mad when he has to share. Zach is very concerned for her safety and well being! Here he is showing her his favorite baby chair!
Zach has discovered TV, "tewees", and Movies, "weebies". Brady has always loved movies. Check out his Star Wars tatoo, they both had them. Zach thought for sure his was an owie.

Love You Grandpa Cusick

My wonderful Grandpa Cusick passed away on Saturday February 13th, 2010. This is a shot of 3 generations of Cusick Men @ the Levan house. It's a few years old, and not the best, but all I could find today. And I wanted to write.

Grandpa was a man at an early age, due to life circumstances and his families need for him to help them survive. He worked hard his entire life. He married my beautiful grandma at age 19. They went on to have 4 children, 18 grandchildren and more than a few great and great-great grandchildren.
Jeff and I had the opportunity to live with my grandparents when we were first married. We became very close and all shed tears when we moved out. Grandpa was more sad to say good-bye to Jeff than to me and baby Brady!
Grandpa had a few querks about him. One was that he always had a pocket knife in his pocket. A real man needed to be able to be handy at any time, and he always was. Jeff started carrying one around, and grandpa was very happy the day Jeff pulled out that pocket knife to help with an odd task!
Grandpa ate bacon, eggs, and coffee every morning. The smell would mix and come down to the basement. I don't think there is a more comforting smell than that to this day.
Grandpa was always tinkering with something. He often had greasy hands, cut from some piece of metal, that he would wash over and over to get clean. He always faked a serioius injury to those of us who didn't like the site of blood...yelling that he needed to get ot the hospital for this serious injury... all he ever really did was slap on a bandaid!
We were not, under any circumstance, to get hurt. He was very cautions, getting after us when we got to close to fireworks (which I can not believe he allowed), fire pits, holding scissors, or hand stitching quilts with grandma! I know now why he was so worried... kids are not safe!
He was a map maker. My grandparents had a house in Levan, Utah for most of my life. It is a tiny town. When I was 8 it was even smaller. The "general store" was a few blocks away but that trip required a detailed map, and instructions on where to cross streets, when and why. I was sure he'd follow us to be sure we were ok, and never cheated on the directions, but he never did.
He loves my grandma, never wanted her to be in danger. He locked the front door even to go outside to look around. I am still a door locker after living with him. So I appologize if I have ever locked you IN my house!
We love you Grandpa, and know that you are warmly welcomed in Heaven by your family!

My Boys

As I cleaned the bathroom today Zach decided to clean his truck. He did a really great job!
It rained here 24 hours straight....flooding the back patio. Brady and Jaxon had a great time splashing through the puddles! They thought it was funny that I wrapped them in garbage bags... but it kept them a little dry! And of course I couldn't find any hats...so painting Tshirts tied tight worked great!

We made cookies! Yummy! And yes, Zach is always this happy around food!
These two like to read books, and Zach likes to lay in Brady's bed... so here you go!

Park Day

Zachins would climb the rock wall then slide on his bum to the slide, up and down the entire time
We went to the park to play baseball, Brady got plastic bases for Christmas. He hit, ran the bases and caught a few grounders with Jeff. It's pretty fun to see my little guy run the bases and laugh his head off!
Hopscotch

'mom, did I leave my eyes open the whole time?' ha! This kid always closes his eyes in pictures.

Zach has discovered "pockiks". Handsome Devil.

"Auupane"

Trip to Utah

Thank Heavens that my parents are crazy snow clothes collectors! They had pants for all of the teenagers, as well as boots!
You should have seen Papa Neilgo down the hill on a skate board, without wheels! He made it all the way down, it was great!

Brady was a MANIAC on the slopes! He took air every time down, screamed adn laughed the whole time, I'm not sure he's ever been that happy! When I asked him if he had fun his response was;
"it was AWESOME!!'
Unfortunately Zachins was too tired to sled more than once. He laid on Dramma PP instead!

We all went sledding. SO FUN! Zach had to borrow pants and boots, but he was a cute vision in pink!
Jeff had to work in St. George the day before New Years, so we stopped for the night on our way to SLC. Me and the boys toured the Bringham Young House. It'll be better when they are older and know they aren't supposed to touch everything! But it was great for me to see. My grandma & Pa Linford served their mission in St. George and I remember doing the tour with them when I was around 11. My grandpa's story about the tiny tub was the best, but the tour was still great!

My FAVORITE Place!!

About every 3 months I make a trip to the COIN LAUNDRY down Charleston. I take treats, drinks, and two funny kids! When I tell people I've been to the laundrymat they usually resond, "oh, why? is your machine broken?"
NO! i love the Coin laundry!
I go when I have around 12 loads to do. It Takes 2 hours, and costs anywhere from 10-25 dollars!
TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!
i save an entire day of slaving over laundry, and the kids get to go somewhere new! In my DREAM HOME i will have 4 washing machines and 5 dryers.
i love u Coin Laundry!
